LC updates its RDA site

After many months of inactivity, the Library of Congress has added its training documents and other documents related to local decisions for the national test of RDA on its website.

The url is: http://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/RDAtest/rdatest.html.

Currently, there are links to the training materials and documents on local decisions for the RDA test. Other categories will soon follow.

These documents are all very interesting. The training materials are particularly helpful. However, a word of caution. The choices used in the training materials pertain to LC policies and decisions which might be useful for them but not necessarily for everyone. When consulting these documents, remember to also consult RDA to see the rule as well as any associated additions, options, or other alternatives associated with it. That way, you can see which options LC has decided to follow, which may or may not be appropriate for another institution.
