Cataloging with RDA

Just the other day the Technical Service Group of the Canadian Library Association came together for a one day workshop at the Bibliothèque et Archives Nationales de Québec to talk about cataloging with RDA.

Thankfully for those of us not able to travel to Quebec for this workshop, the audio presentations can be found online at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/from-rules-to-entities%3A-cataloguing-with-rda

For the moment, I can get audio only. According to the website, the complete workshop will be posted online in about a month or so. This will include not just audio but video as well.

The materials in PDF format can be found at: http://tsig.wikispaces.com/Pre-conference+2009+presentation+materials

Some of the material is an overview of the development of RDA and history of cataloging. However, there are some great slides comparing AACR2 with RDA or that show an example of a training handout for RDA.
